Helping Create a Better Home

This year’s home will be a two-story, 1200 finished square foot home located in Woodmen Vistas in Northeast Colorado Springs. The 2012 interior design team includes: Katherine Speas (interior designer), Colleen Stiles (interior designer), Eric Fetsch (artist and community advocate), and Patty Crouse (Austin Bluffs Lighting).

We’re equally excited that Colorado Springs Master Planned Community, Gold Hill Mesa, has graciously donated gently used model home furnishings to furnish this 5 bedroom, 2 bath home.  Additionally, community partner, Platte Furniture, has one again kindly volunteered to supply home furnishings and accessories in order to meet Parade of Homes requirements for interior design.  Building materials for this sustainable (energy efficient) home, located in Academy School District 20, will be provided by Restore Colorado Springs and community volunteers.

Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity (PPHFH) serves families who make less than 50% of the median income and could not otherwise afford decent housing. Family selections are based on three criteria: (1) need for affordable housing; (2) ability to pay their no-interest mortgage; and (3) willingness to partner with PPHFH.

ReStore is a 31,500 sq ft discount building supply store packed with new and slightly used building materials for sale to the public! Since 2004, the ReStore has served a vital role in raising funds for Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity’s work. Your support helps Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity build more homes. Low-cost materials are sold to the public with all proceeds benefiting PPHFH.  For donation guidelines and more information, call 719.667.0840.
