I recently ran across an interesting trends article on the ASID website. The article, a reprint from BuilderOnline.com, forecast the top design trends for 2012 according to one of the nation’s largest custom home builders, Ohio-based Schumacher Homes. According to Paul Schumacher, CEO of Schumacher Homes, he sees a growing trend toward more casual, family-focused living. His predictions for this year’s trends are based on the most popular custom features requested in 2011 and over 20 years of home building experience. “People” Schumacher says “are looking to make the most of their space so they get more out of their investment.”
