Get Inspiration
One of our favorite exercises to go through with our clients is to have them start an inspiration board on Houzz or Pinterest, depending on their preferred media choice. The first step is searching specific keywords to locate inspiration images with searches pertinent to your project (for example: Modern Kitchens, Open Stairwells, Playrooms, etc.). Beware this can lead to quite the rabbit hole! You will soon be immersed into more inspirational images that you ever thought possible. Don’t worry, you’re only on the first step, your designer is here to help you wade through it all during this process.

Find What You Like… and Dislike
The next step is to go through and start picking out what you like, but even more importantly what you DON’T like. The more you can tailor your style to specific details you like or dislike the easier it is for your designer to really knock your project out of the park. We often joke that ‘No’ is one of our favorite words. It is just as important to know what inspires you as what repulses you and allows us to get closer to your personal style!
