We re-used the existing shutters and gave this bedroom a fresh coat of paint, including a painted accent wall. We purchased a colorful bedspread and custom fabricated the headboard to match the bedspread, and brought in fun accent pillows. The night stands are reclaimed wood, and to finish off the room we placed a set of faux fur and chrome benches at the foot of the bed.
Speas Interior Design's latest lower level remodel includes these two guest bedrooms. The first larger bedroom includes an upholstered headboard, custom made furniture, hand plastered finish with metallic painted accent wall, natural woven shade, and a Big Ass fan. The second guest bedroom includes another hand plastered wall with metallic paint, natural woven shades, two leather swivel chairs and a woven wicker bed. Photographs by Paul Kohlman.
For our latest Master Bedroom remodel, Speas Interior Design added some truly unique details that make this space special. In the "before" photo you see a sliding glass door; this never-used door was removed and replaced with a stunning new window. For convenience, there is never a need to remember to shut the shade as the window-shade has been set up on a timer! The walls of this room now resemble an old-world plaster with a crackled faux finish. The team also added ceiling beams, a chandellier and fireplace for romance. Two elegant chairs flock the fireplace, creating the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine before bed.
Embrace your wild side in this custom home bedroom remodel with a blending of textures and patterns complete with animal print fabrics, faux finish walls, custom draperies, redwood ceiling, and hardwood floors.
A guest suite needs to make a guest feel welcome! Luxurious design elements of soft blue hues of nature create a spa like backdrop to welcome guests with rest and relaxation. Custom designed doors with frosted glass panels and looped Berber carpet are accented by inviting bedroom furniture, soft spa like bedding and a storage bench at foot for linens and additional storage.
This master bedroom make over includes a Santa Fe inspired theme complete with hand hewn wood floors, open beam ceilings, hand plastered walls, and natural gas fireplace. Once the remodeling work was completed, we incorporated the homeowners' existing furniture and accessories to complete the design.
